Advanced Chiropractic Techniques
In late 2022 Alex achieved her certificate in Advanced Animal Chiropractic, adding more techniques to her well-established treatment tool-box. Combined with over 10 years treating animals, as well as teaching the next generation of chiropractic students for the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, Alex is delighted to be recognised as an Advanced Practitioner.
Alex's research wins award at Saddle Research Trust Conference [1 December 2014]
As part of her Master of Science degree, Alex undertook research investigating the effect of McTimoney Chiropractic treatment on pressure measurements beneath the saddle. Alex found that there was a significant change to the horse's back after treatment, evidenced by reduced mean pressure under the saddle, essentially meaning that the rider's weight was more evenly distributed as a result of treatment. Alex presented this research as a poster at the Saddle Research Trust conference (29 Nov 2014) , where it was reviewed by world-renowned experts including Dr Sue Dyson of the Animal Health Trust. It was awarded the 'Best Student Poster', and Alex received her certificate from top Olympic Dressage rider Richard Davison.
